MoCCA Fest & ICON10


MoCCA Fest will be April 7–8, 2018 in New York City. Sponsored by the Society of Illustrators, it’s 2 days of publishers and artists of zines, comics, graphic novels, prints, etc. SU Illustration students create and sell products at tables that the Illustration BFA Program sponsors. The SU bus will make a day trip on Saturday, April 7 that anyone can ride (for $25 fare, $5 entry fee to MoCCA Fest.)




ICON10, the national illustration conference, is accepting student volunteer applications. The conference will be in Detroit, MI, July 11–14, 2018. The conference is four days of non-stop illustration, attended by illustrators, art directors and other creative professionals from around the world.



Children's Book Competition Deadline


Little Brown Books for Young Readers is seeking entries from emerging artists in children’s book publishing.
The winner gets a $1500 award, trip to NYC and the opportunity to be considered to have a book published (as a separate, additional deal).
Deadline is by May 15, 2018.
